This sweepstakes was held in late 1998, right before Goldfish rebranded. It was created to promote Flavor Blasted Goldfish. Boomer the Flavor Blasted Goldfish has been on the loose, and it was up to people buying Flavor Blasted Goldfish to find him. Each bag of Flavor Blasted Goldfish had an extremely rare chance of containing a small plastic toy Boomer. If you found him, you would win a 1000 USD savings bond. It’s unknown if you had to turn in the toy Boomer in order to receive the prize or if you got to keep Boomer alongside your winnings. If you did not feel like buying Flavor Blasted Goldfish, you could also mail Pepperidge Farm at a chance of winning. There were 100 winners, and there was approximately a 1 in 43,308 chance of winning. You could also mail in for a copy of the winners list.

Finn’s New Friend was a contest held in late 2007 - 2008. Fans of the Finn and Friends series of commercials (then currently in its second season) ages 6 to 13 could enter their own original Goldfish character of their creation for a chance at their character appearing in Finn and Friends. 10 finalists were chosen by Pepperidge Farm to be put up for voting, and the public got to choose who was the final winner. The winner of the contest was Candace, a pink Goldfish with a red bow who appeared in season 4 of Finn and Friends.
